European Languages Day

We all had a fantastic day on Thursday, doing lots of things based on the country of Greece.
In the morning we made a yummy Greek salad full of lots of delicious healthy vegetables that we got to taste. We all loved the feta cheese!

After lunch we looked at the Greek flag and we all got to make our own, which was brilliant!
We listened to the story of Medusa who was so mean that the Greek gods made her have snakes instead of hair and we had a bowl of Medusa 'snakes' to play with.
We watched some videos of Greek dancing and plate smashing and decided we would all like to have a go, so we each designed our own paper plate to 'smash'.
Miss Waterworth taught us some Greek words for Hello and Thankyou, which we were all really good at saying! Ya-sas - hello Ef-hari-sto- thank you.

During the afternoon we all got to taste our finished Greek salad and we also tried some lovely Greek yoghurt and honey, which most of us loved. After we had done so much eating we thought it was time to do some exercise and went into the hall to do some Greek dancing to the song called Zorbas. We had lots and lots of fun and at the end we all got to 'smash' our plates.

By the end of the day we were all exhausted (especially Miss Waterworth and Mrs O'Neil) and ready for a rest.

The Incredibles

P.S have a look at our photos to see just how much fun we had!
